PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a fish bite in high sensitivity by strain sensors attached to the tip part of a fishing rod supporting a fishing line of the fish bite. SOLUTION: The bite information device for fishing rod includes the strain sensors 1-4 to be attached to the outer peripheral surface of the vicinity of the tip part of the fishing rod 9 and a deformation signal output means 5 for searching and outputting a signal of deformation response of the fishing rod 9 on the basis of the outputs of the strain sensors 1-4. The deformation signal output means 5 lights or blinks a display means when it determines that the signal of the deformation response exceeds a set level or is equal to or lower than a set frequency.
