A fluorene-based derivative having a specific structure and an organic electro-luminescence device in which an organic thin film layer comprising a single layer or plural layers including at least a light emitting layer is sandwiched between a cathode and an anode, wherein at least one layer of the organic thin film layers described above comprises the above fluorene-based derivative having a specific structure in the form of a single component or a mixed component. The organic electroluminescence device has a high luminous efficiency, and the fluorene-based derivative materializes the same.
