The present invention relates to a light diffusing plate for an LCD backlight unit, and more specifically to a light diffusing plate made of a linear ramp and a light emitting diode, for an LCD backlight unit for maximizing light refraction and scattering effects, thereby improving the light shielding effect required for backlights, including slimline backlights, while reducing manufacturing costs. Accordingly, the light diffusing plate for an LCD backlight unit is manufactured by melting and extruding a plastic chip, and laminating one side of the manufactured light diffusing plate with a nonwoven fabric, whereby the nonbonding rate and weight of said nonwoven fabric are preferably 0%~85% and 10~100g/m2 respectively and the material of said nonwoven fabric is polypropylene (PP) or polyethyleneterephthalate (PET).
