GLASS COMPRISING SOLID ELECTROLYTE PARTICLES AND LITHIUM BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass or glass ceramics which can be suitably used for a lithium secondary battery or the like, and a lithium battery including one of the glass and glass ceramics in one or more of an electrolyte layer, a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer.

SOLUTION: The glass comprises a mass of solid electrolyte particles containing Li, P and S, wherein when overlapped peaks at 330-450 cm-1, in repeatedly measured Raman spectra thereof, are separated into individual components, the standard deviation of each area ratio is less than 4.0, and the area ratios of PS43-, P2S74-and P2S64-in the Raman spectra are 15-65%, 25-80% and 5-30% respectively. The glass ceramics is obtained by thermally treating the glass.
