<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical device of new configuration regarding an endoscopic surgical stapling device having a tool assembly and an endoscopic body portion. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical stapling device includes a handle assembly 12, the endoscopic body portion 14 and the tool assembly 16. The tool assembly 16 is rotatably and pivotally supported on a distal end of the endoscopic body portion 14. A tool assembly rotating mechanism is provided that includes a rotation knob 24, a substantially rigid tube and a flexible member interconnecting the rigid tube to the tool assembly 16. The substantially rigid tube changes the rotation of the rotation knob 24 into the rotation of the flexible member, and provides a channel for the passage of other components of the surgical stapling device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
