<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deceleration/acceleration of a vehicle from being delayed when a vehicle speed is increased or decreased in a coasting control state, and reaches a predetermined value or more. <P>SOLUTION: The coasting controller is configured to, when an engine mounted on a vehicle does not contribute to traveling of a vehicle, disengage a clutch 51 interposed between the engine and the drive wheel of the vehicle, and to set the engine to an idle state for performing coasting control where the vehicle coasts. The coasting controller is provided with control means 11 and 12 for, when coasting control start conditions based on an accelerator opening and the rotation number of the driven side of a clutch are established, starting the coasting control, and for, when coasting control termination conditions based on the accelerator opening and the driven side rotation number of the clutch are established during the coasting control, terminating the coasting control. The control means 11 and 12 calculate a difference between the vehicle speed at the time of starting the coasting control and the current vehicle speed during the coasting control, and when the difference is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, terminate the coasting control regardless of the coasting control termination conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
