<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a difference image generation device for generating an output image signal reflecting a difference between a plurality of input image signals, which reduces the number of trials-and-errors for adjusting the display of the output image signal, thereby improving user-friendliness. <P>SOLUTION: The difference image generation device 1 includes a measurement part 11 and a scaling part 13. The measurement part 11 measures the range of pixel values of a difference image signal DS1 obtained by subtraction of input image signals S1 and S2. The scaling part 13 scales each pixel value of DS1 in accordance with a measurement of the range of pixel values of DS1 such that the difference image signal DS1 can be represented in grayscale with a predetermined bit width, to output a scaled difference image signal DS3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
