PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which prevents image quality to be remarkably deteriorated by reducing an image step, which can be generated in an acquired image and is affected by an irradiation region, without performing complicated image processing.

SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 100 includes: a detector 104 where a plurality of pixels are arranged in a matrix shape and which performs photographing operations to output image data corresponding to a radiation or light radiated in a prescribed irradiation field; and a control part 106. The photographing operations include: the first photographing operation to output the image data corresponding to the radiation or light with which the detector is irradiated in the irradiation field A equivalent to the partial pixels included in the plurality of pixels; and the second photographing operation to output the image data corresponding to the radiation or light radiated to the detector 104 in the irradiation field B larger than the irradiation field A. The control part 106 controls the operation of the detector, so as to allow the detector to perform an initialization operation to initialize a conversion element during a period between the first and second photographing operations in accordance with the change from the irradiation field A into the irradiation field B.
