PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent traffic congestion due to concentration of vehicles on a specific recommended route by preliminarily adjusting the ratio of presenting the recommended route to the vehicle. SOLUTION: The traffic information providing device is configured to present a recommended route from among a plurality of alternative routes 10 and 12 to a vehicle 5. The provision device is provided with: an acquisition means for acquiring the target ratiosαo,βo of volume of traffic flowing into a plurality of paths 10 and 12; a route election means for selecting the recommended route for each vehicle 5 on the basis of the acquired target ratesαo,βo; and an information provision means for providing the selected recommended route for each vehicle 5 to the corresponding vehicle 5.
