PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chuck device for holding cylindrical body, which can make an arranging pitch of bearing dense, make the cylindrical body hard to wear by lessening the applying load of each bearing, rotate the bearing circumferentially too, and improve incorporating performance by simplifying a process for attaching the bearing. SOLUTION: The chuck device for holding cylindrical body, which has a holder 12 fit within a hollow section 10a of cylindrical body 10, a lug object 14 arranged in the peripheral section of the holder 12 to be contacted with the inner wall surface of the hollow section 10a, and lug driving section 16 holding the cylindrical body by projecting the lug object 14 in a radial direction of the cylindrical body 10, wherein: attaching holes 44 are formed at a plurality of location axially and circumferentially in a peripheral section of body 18 of the holder 12; and bearing unit 46, in which supporting balls 46a can rotate circumferentially and axial direction of the holder 12, is mounted in each of these attaching holes 44.
