<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet ink that provides a metal pattern free of a disconnection and a short circuit and can form the metal pattern compatibly having ink dryability and discharge stability, and to provide a metal pattern forming method. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet ink is used for the metal pattern forming method of forming a metal layer on a pattern through electroless plating processing after forming the pattern on a substrate by discharging the ink by an inkjet head. The inkjet ink contains at least a catalyst for electroless plating and a solvent, which includes≤5% by total amount of a solvent having drying characteristics of≥150 min in time taken to vary in mass to 50% after heating at 70°C,≥5% by total amount of a solvent having drying characteristics of 90 to <150 min, and a solvent having drying characteristics of <90 min for the rest.
