PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a cradle device, on which an imaging apparatus is detachably mounted, properly as much as possible. SOLUTION: When a digital camera 100 is mounted on a cradle device 200, a monitoring mode is set to allow a user to perform panning, tilting or zooming operation or to issue instructions for imaging while watching a finder image displayed on a finder display section 104 of an operation display terminal device 301, 302. When the digital camera 100 is not mounted on the cradle device 200, on the other hand, a cradle mode is set to disable camera control for imaging operation as well as panning/tilting control of the cradle device 200.
