PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic device which is reduced in the necessity of strict sealing, is free from the risk of breakage of an electrode, and is fast in a response speed. SOLUTION: The electrochromic device includes a first electrode 10, an electrochromic layer 30, and a second electrode 20 in this order. At least one of the first and second electrodes includes conductive layers 12 and 22 containing conductive fine particles and binders.
