PROJECTION DISPLAY DEVICE AND REMOTE CONTROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection display device and a remote control, which can appropriately perform temperature control of an optical system based on outside air temperature and temperature in a housing. SOLUTION: The projection display device has a light source in a housing and projects and displays a video. The projection display device includes: a cooling fan 24 to cool the light source; a temperature detection means 15 to detect the temperature in the housing; an outside air temperature-reception means 14 to receive the outside air temperature; and a cooling control means to perform driving control of the cooling fan based on the temperature in the housing and the outside air temperature.
