PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional distance recognition device utilizing a stereo camera. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional distance recognition device includes: a stereo vision camera 110 for detecting a parallax of a selection point to be measured; and a pattern generation device 120 for generating a pattern, and projecting the pattern to the selection point when the selection point is an object not generating a parallax. By this, the device has such an advantage that, even if an object to be measured is a monochromatic plane or transparent glass, a distance of a selection fulcrum to be measured can be recognized accurately.
