PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration in an internal combustion engine having a variable compression ratio mechanism. SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine having the variable compression ratio mechanism 10 for varying a compression ratio by changing a volume of a gap by changing the relative distance between a crank case 5 and a cylinder block 4 has an engine mount 52 interposed between the internal combustion engine 1 and a vehicle body 11, a detection means 16 for detecting the compression ratio of the internal combustion engine 1, and a changing means 30 for changing the spring characteristic of the engine mount 52 according to the compression ratio detected by the detection means 16.
