(A) is useful in televisions, preferably pocket televisions, high informative displays for computers (laptops), automobiles or aircraft constructions, wristwatches, pocket calculators, mobile phone, and personal digital assistant displays. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# (A) exhibits short response time, low threshold voltage and high contrast in the cells. (A) exhibits low rotational viscosity, fast switching, high purification point and good stability to electromagnetic radiations. (A) provides liquid crystal display with positive dielectric anisotropy, broad nematic phases, low birefringence, very high specific-resistance, good UV-, temperature-, chemical-, electric field- and thermal- stability and low vapor pressure. #CMT#ORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Composition: (A) further comprises (II)-(XIV).
