摘要

A fuel cell (2) generates electric current (5) from water-containing anode gas (6) and oxygen-containing cathode gas (7). Downstream of the fuel cell is a residual gas burner (3) to burn water-containing anode exhaust gas (13) with oxygen-containing cathode exhaust gas (15). An oxidation catalyst (24) is arranged in the residual gas burner such that during operation of the fuel cell system (1) burner exhaust gas (25) is withdrawn from the oxidation catalyst to downstream of the residual gas burner.
