PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for sterilizing and purifying an air in a room are provided to efficiently sterilize indoor air without additional chemical by using water. CONSTITUTION: A method and an apparatus for sterilizing and purifying an air in a room is comprised of the steps: absorbing indoor air and supplying it to the lower part of a container(S11); circulating dissolved oxygen water inside the container and passing it through sterile-water generating member including zinc metal to convert the dissolved water into disinfectant water(S12); sterilizing and cleaning indoor air through the contact of disinfectant water and the indoor(S13); and supplying sterilized air to inside(S14).
