<p>A dump truck provided with a nudge blade 35 is disclosed. Preferably the nudge blade 35 extends in front of and between the outer faces of the wheels 2 of the truck. A tipable bucket 6 is provided on the truck to carry and allow material to be deposited. The nudge blade 35 may be hydraulically operated via cylinder 19 between a raised (Figure 5) and lowered / operable configuration Figure 6. The nudge blade 35 may be removably mounted to the chassis (1, Figure 1) of the truck and a carrier arm 10 may be pivotally mounted to the front axle of the truck. There may be provided plugs 25 to seal openings in the mounting when the nudge blade 35 is removed. When raised, the blade allows normal tipping of the bucket and operation of the truck. The blade is useful for providing levelling of material which has been tipped out of the bucket, and prevents ruts in which the wheels can become stuck.</p> |
