Conveyor sensor arrangement

A conveyor apparatus has a wear strip plate 132 mounted inbetween a load cell 128 and a conveyor. A chain or chains of the conveyor may pass around the outside of the wear strip plate 132, such that the tension in the chain may be measured. Also disclosed is a conveyor apparatus with a sensor contacted by the interconnecting flights of a twin chain conveyor. Tension may be measured in the chains by the sensor.
