PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for defining a colored spot and a method for evaluating the coloring or de-coloring effect of cosmetics or dermatologic and pharmacological formulations are provided to obtain a first sub-image and a second sub-image by filtering extracted screen generated from a digital image. CONSTITUTION: One or more digital images are obtained from one or more skin regions including at least part of colored spot(34, 36, 38, 40) using a digital color-image taking unit(12). The images are defined by the multiplicity of pixels. The images are transmitted to a digital image processing unit. The digital images are divided. One screen or the combination of screens including the colored spot is extracted.
