METHOD FOR DETERMINING STATINS WITH HEPATOTOXICITY

PURPOSE: A method for identifying statin drugs with hepatotoxicity is provided to effectively identify hepatotoxicity and to develop a statin drug without hepatotoxicity. CONSTITUTION: A method for identifying statin drugs with hepatotoxicity comprises: a step of treating a statin candidate drug to hepatocytes and culturing; a step of isolating total RNA from the hepatocytes and to synthesizing cDNA; a step of measuring the expression level of a gene; a step of analyzing hepatocytes which is treated with drugs; and a step of determining drug hepatotoxicity. The hepatocyte is a hepatocyte or hepatocyte cell line derived from a rabbit, rat, or mouse.
