PURPOSE: A method for detecting point of a touch screen panel, the touch screen panel, and an electronic device are provided to detect each touch point when plural touch points are touched at the same time and perform point detection when /the touch point is moved. CONSTITUTION: An upper electrode substrate has an upper conductive layer formed on a first substrate, and a lower electrode substrate has a lower conductive layer formed on a second substrate. In order to generate the electric potential distribution on the lower electrode layer, the electrode is installed along four edges of the lower conductive layer. A driving circuit drives a touch panel screen and has a touch-off detection processing unit(151). The upper conductive layer has split conductive regions, and the touch-off detection processing unit outputs a signal which indicates a touch state by extending a certain time when a non-touch state is changed into a touch state in the conductive region.
