<p>The submitted invention refers to an optical system for the transmission of a time reference signal and radio-frequency synchronisation of repeating events at several locations with femtosecond precision, for example inside basic particles accelerators, where a synchronisation scheme is required with low phase signal jitter and long-term stability, including a standard single phase optical fibre. The specified system includes a transmitter (1), an oscillator (2) with low level jitter and a receiver (3), where the specified transmitter (1) and specified receiver (3) are linked by a transmitting optical line (4) and a feedback optical line (5).</p> |
