Disclosed are phenylpentadienoyl compounds of formula (I) or therapeutically-acceptable salts or solvates thereof, wherein the substituents are defined within the specification. Also disclosed are methods for preparing the phenylpentadienoyl compounds of formula (I). Also disclosed is the use of the compounds of formula (I) for the manufacture of a medicament of a drug for treating restenosis, atrial fibrillation, myocardial remodelling, inflammatory disorders, pulmonary diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, skin diseases and cancer.
