Flow enhancement for underwater turbine generator

A flow enhancement improvement for an underwater bi-directional turbine generator is disclosed. A longitudinal hole is disposed in the hub of the generator (240). An outer duct (40) is located between the hub (240) and the housing (64). An augmentor (62) is defined around the housing to create an augmentor duct (41) between the housing (64) and the augmentor. The augumentor duct (41) and hollow hub (240) create areas of smooth, laminar fluid flow. The hub (240), the augmentor (62), and outer duct (40) are elliptical to enhance the fluid dynamics of the structure.
