Pipe unblocker with visual temperature and rinsing indicator

Disclosed is a liquid pipe unblocker comprising at least 80% by weight of one or more strong acids, and a coloured indicator assuming different colours in the range of pH of 0-1 given the acid concentration and the polarity of the pipe unblocker solution, wherein the coloured indicator is in the form of a carbocation in solution in the pipe unblocker of formula (I) wherein the substituents are disclosed within the specification. Preferably the coloured indicator is malachite green and has three colour changes in the pH range 0-1.
