PURPOSE: A mop rotating apparatus is provided to improve the efficiency of an operation by reducing torque for rotating a bucket and a mop. CONSTITUTION: A mop rotating apparatus includes a bucket(10), a driving unit, and a rotating unit. The bucket includes a space(11) formed on the inner side and a recess formed on the outer side. The driving unit includes a base(21) and a planetary gear set. The base is positioned in the recess. The planetary gear set includes a pedal(23), a rack, a planetary gear, a cage, and a pinion. The pedal is pivotally supported on the base and has a first prong(231) and a second prong. The rack moves on the base and is connected to the second prong. The cage is engaged with the planetary gear. The pinion is formed on the side of the cage and is engaged with the rack.
