AN ICE MAKER FOR REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: An ice maker for a refrigerator is provided to shield a heater, which easily separates the ice from an ice making tray, by a heater cover. CONSTITUTION: An ice maker(30) for a refrigerator comprises a main body(31), a heater(H), and a heater protecting unit. The main body is installed at a predetermined position of the refrigerator and comprises an ice making tray, which makes the ice from the supplied water. The heater is installed in the ice making tray and easily separates the ice from the ice making tray. The heater protecting unit decreases the supply of the heat generated from the heater to the inside of the refrigerator, the heater protecting unit is attached to the ice making tray comprising a concave part on which the heater is located, and the heater protecting unit is formed to have a similar shape to the heater. The heater is installed on the bottom of the main body and the heater protecting unit comprises a heater cover for preventing the exposure of the heater from the main body.
