A support device for a floor panel for a raised or false floor includes a foot 5 with a support surface, a screw 9 extending up from the foot and able to rotate and swivel with respect to the foot, a nut 12 engaged on the thread of the screw and a mount 13 fitted to the nut and to which the floor panel can be mounted. A driving end of the screw 9 can be accessed from the top side of the floor panel to be rotated with respect to the foot, the rotation causing the nut to be lifted or lowered along the screw thread to raise or lower the mount 13 and the floor panel attached to the mount. A flooring system including a plurality of panels supported at respective corners by such supports is described. (62) Divided Out of 552068
