<p>Subject of the invention is a surge protection with covering terminal (14) protection which preferably includes two flat varistors (6a, 6b), two earth electrodes and two disconnecting electrodes (3a, 3b) which are electrically attached to the lateral varistor panels (6a, 6b), a partially insulated disconnection contact (1), an insulating cover (2), spring (8) which is located on the axis of the insulating cover (9), an insulating barrier (4) and an intermediate insulating barrier (7) as well as terminals (10) which additionally prevent the puncture of leakage currents through air between the varistor electrode and the disconnection contact. The device is integrated in an enclosure (11) with device cover (15). The described device effectively solves the problem of destruction and burning of surge protectors with integrated varistors due to the electric arc phenomena.</p> |
