PURPOSE: An optical transmission apparatus for visible light communication capable of high-speed data communication is provided to improve power conversion efficiency and heat radiation efficiency by operating a driving unit. CONSTITUTION: A power converting unit(101) supplies DC(Direct Current) power to a lighting lamp. A driving unit(103) is driven in a switching drive mode. The driving unit supplies operating current to the lamp. An encoding unit(105) receives and encodes the data. A control unit(104) controls the power converting unit and the driving unit. A detecting unit measures the intensity of the visible light signal.
