<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power output apparatus etc., that speedily decreases the rotation speed of an internal combustion engine when a request to reduce the speed of a driving shaft is made while fuel reduction is inhibited so as to suppress catalyst deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: When a request to reduce the rotation speed of a ring gear shaft by releasing an accelerator pedal from being stepped in is made while a catalyst deterioration inhibition flag Fc is set to a value 1 and the fuel reduction of an engine is inhibited so as to suppress the catalyst deterioration, the engine and motors MG1, MG2 are controlled (Step S170 to S250) so that the rotation speed Ne of the engine decreases to a predetermined self-rotation speed Nref and torque based upon the requested torque Tr* is output to the ring gear shaft in connection with setting (S190) of a target throttle opening extent TH* for increasing an amount of suction air of the engine as battery temperature Tb is higher and fuel injection into respective combustion rooms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
