<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an on-vehicle continuous variable transmission that suppresses a deterioration in vehicle traveling performance even in a state that a maximum intake air amount of an internal combustion engine is reduced in a vehicle mounting a continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of occurrence of an abnormality that the maximum lift amount of an air-intake valve of a lift-amount variable mechanism 19 for metering an intake air amount does not exceed a prescribed lift amount (the maximum lift amount during the abnormality), an ECU 31 controls the gear ratio of a CVT 23 such that an input-shaft rotation speed Nin of the CVT 23 is limited at an upper-limit rotation speed, in which the smaller the maximum lift amount is during the abnormality, the lower the value of the upper-limit rotation speed is set, in order to suppress a deterioration in engine torque caused by the abnormality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
