<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a display element, restraining potential change of a second node caused by a potential change of a first node; and to provide a method of driving a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes: threshold voltage cancel processing of changing the potential of a second node from the potential of the first node toward the potential of reducing the threshold voltage of a driving transistor, in the state of keeping the potential of the first node; and write processing of applying a video signal from a data line to the first node through a write transistor put in an on state according to a scanning signal from a scanning line. After conducting the threshold voltage cancel processing in the state of applying a first reference voltage from a second power-feeding line to a cathode electrode provided in a light-emitting part, the write processing is conducted in the state of applying a second reference voltage lower than the first reference voltage from the second power-feeding line to the cathode electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
