<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manganese-containing substance which has an inhibited bitter and astringent taste and is produced from tea as a raw material. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the manganese-containing substance containing manganese in an amount of ≥10 ppm per percent of the solid content and having a potassium/manganese (K/Mn) weight ratio of ≤20 comprises applying a water-washing treatment to tea leaves and then extracting the water-washed tea leaves with a solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
