<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide sign tower 1 on a road, which can reduce costs by eliminating the need for an improvement in strength and which can quickly attenuate the rotation displacement of a guide sign plate 9 so as to secure the favorable visibility of the guide sign plate 9 when the guide sign plate 9 receives a medium wind, a weak wind, or a slight breeze. <P>SOLUTION: When the guide sign plate 9 receives a wind pressure greater than or equal to a set-level, it rotates in the lee direction R and relieves the wind pressure. Because of this, no excess load is imposed on a support 2 and an arm 3, and the costs of the support 2 and the arm 3 can be reduced. In case the guide sign plate 9 receives the medium wind, the weak wind, or the slight breeze, the rotation displacement of the guide sign plate 9 is quickly attenuated based on an elastic deformation of an elastic member 16, and the guide sign plate 9 can be prevented from shaking for a log time. Thus, the favorable visibility of the guide sign plate 9 can be secured. When the support 2 is embedded in the road, the need for deeply excavating the road surface 4 with a large excavation width can be eliminated, and the costs for placing concrete can be reduced.
