<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information output device and a program that improve convenience while reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The information output device is controlled to enter a first power-saving state that supplies power to a communication interface 24 without supplying power to a reader 26 and an image forming engine part 28, when a non-operation state of the image forming engine part 28 in a non-power-saving state continues for a non-power-saving-state limit period, to enter a second power-saving state that supplies power to the communication interface 24 and reader 26 without supplying power to the image forming engine part 28, when output request information is received by a communication interface 24 in the first power-saving state, and to cause a CPU 12 to restore the non-power-saving state when the reader 26 reads user information in the second power-saving state and the user information is specific user information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
