<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method and a treatment apparatus for removing nitrogen oxides contained in a treatment object gas such as air containing nitrogen monoxide and nitrogen dioxide with excellent throughput and removal rate without using large-sized equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment object gas is brought into contact with a conversion agent, in which synthetic zeolite carries potassium permanganate, to convert the nitrogen monoxide contained in the gas to the nitrogen dioxide, and then is brought into contact with a cleaning agent, in which a metal oxide comprising copper oxide and manganese oxide carries the hydroxide of an alkali metal, to remove the nitrogen dioxide from the gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
