<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce standby power requirement, particularly in an exterior unit, in an air conditioner composed of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes a current detector which detects the alternating current which flows through a power line linking the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, and a switch for carrying out communicating operation of a circuit when a current value detected by the current detector exceeds a predetermined reference value. The air conditioner is composed to start the operation of an outdoor control circuit via the switch and to operate the outdoor control circuit according to driving of a motor of the indoor unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
