PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoothing circuit that can rapidly discharge electric charges accumulated in a smoothing capacitor. SOLUTION: A smoothing circuit 60 has a plurality of smoothing capacitors C1 and C2 for smoothing DC voltage and a means F1, F2, and S for switching the connection of the plurality of smoothing capacitors C1 and C2 from parallel connection to series one.
