PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce influence on printing quality and influence on the inside of a machine caused by image peeling during automatic double-sided printing. SOLUTION: A pressurizing roller 61 is disposed so as to be exposed to an inversion path B. Also, on the inversion path B, an auxiliary roller 81 is disposed so as to be in contact with the pressurizing roller 61. Paper sent into the inversion path B by the reverse rotation of a discharge roller 71 passes between the pressurizing roller 61 and the auxiliary roller 81 and is conveyed through the inversion path B. The pressurizing roller 61 receives heat from a heater 62 and is rotated, while increasing its own temperature. The paper conveyed into the inversion path B is clamped by the pressurizing roller 61 and the auxiliary roller 81 and receives the heat from the pressurizing roller 61, whose temperature is elevated there, and fixation is made stronger.
