PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form this engine of using environmentally ideal hydrogen as fuel, into a commercially practicable, high driving and stable automobile engine, by solving the problem of having no hope of practical use due to remarkably small output, a backfire and knocking. SOLUTION: A five-cycle engine exclusive to hydrogen is provided so that a cylinder 1 of an engine is divided into an upper part and a lower part with a piston 2 as a boundary, and the upper part is formed as an engine of using hydrogen as fuel, and the lower part is formed as a two-stage type compressor capable of pressurizing hydrogen and air in accordance with the cylinder, and the hydrogen and the air are pressurized in separate cylinders by the compressor of the lower part, and these are formed as mixed gas by a premixer, and this mixed gas is pressed in the engine of the upper part in 2-5 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>, and this mixed gas is further compressed, and after being put under high pressure of 15 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>or more, large power uncomparable with a conventional hydrogen engine is produced by sucking and exploding atmospheric pressure air by repeating ignition, an explosion, exhaust, cold air suction and hot air exhaust.
