PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress distortion of a door outer panel, to simplify a structure of a door, and to secure shock resistance of the door. SOLUTION: In the side door structure 10 for the vehicle, an impact beam 18 is formed by a material having a linear expansion coefficient different from the door outer panel 16, and a vehicle longitudinal rear side of the impact beam 18 is jointed to a panel bottom part 30 of a door inner panel 14 by a second extension 22. Therefore, even when differential thermal expansion is generated between the door outer panel 16 and the impact beam 18, the differential thermal expansion can be absorbed by deformation of a part from the panel bottom part 30 to a step part 38 in the door inner panel 14. Accordingly, the distortion of the door outer panel 16 can be suppressed. Further, a crash box 24 is integrally formed in the second extension 22. Therefore, the shock resistance of the side door 12 can be secured while simplifying the structure of the side door 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
