METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING HOLLOW MICROSPHERES

A method for producing hollow ceramic or metal microspheres comprises: forming stabilized foam slurry by means of foaming agent from ceramic or metal slurry containing ceramic or metal powders, water and dispersant; forming hollow slurry droplets by means of centrifugal atomization unit from said stabilized foam slurry; spraying said hollow slurry droplets to forming chamber, drying rapidly and thus obtaining green body of the hollow microspheres; collecting and sintering the green body of the hollow microspheres. The particle size of the hollow microsphere is 0.001-1.5mm, and the hollow microspheres have high quality and low cost. The method is suitable for producing hollow microspheres from various inorganic material powders. A device used for producing hollow ceramic or metal microspheres and a type of hollow microspheres are also provided.
