<p>The present invention provides an economic and highly reproducible method for selecting or identifying GAG binding regions in a protein by providing a complex comprising the protein and the GAG ligand molecule bound to said protein; contacting said complex with a cleavage reagent capable of cleaving the protein, wherein said GAG ligand molecule blocks protein cleavage in a region of the protein where the GAG ligand molecule is bound, and whereby said protein is cleaved in regions that are not blocked by said bound GAG ligand molecule; and separating and detecting the cleaved peptides, wherein the absence of cleavage events in a region of the protein indicates that said GAG ligand molecule is bound to that region.</p> |
