<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the low price of the entire equipment and the simplification of circuit configuration by reducing loss arising in a semiconductor element, and the number of elements, without marring such a merit that the number of harmonic wave components is few in an output voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor switch series circuit, in which first to fourth semiconductor switches S<SB>1</SB>-S<SB>4</SB>are connected in series, and a series circuit, which is composed of first and second capacitors C<SB>1</SB>and C<SB>2</SB>, are connected each in parallel with a DC power source E. A bidirectional switch series circuit, in which first and second bidirectional switches S<SB>5D</SB>and S<SB>6D</SB>capable of breaking bidirectional currents and having bidirectional breakdown voltages are connected in series, and a third capacitor C<SB>3</SB>are connected each in parallel with a series circuit, which is composed of second and third semiconductor switches S<SB>2</SB>and S<SB>3</SB>. The serial junction between the first and second capacitors C<SB>1</SB>and C<SB>2</SB>and the serial junction between the first and second bidirectional switches S<SB>5D</SB>and S<SB>6D</SB>are connected in series. The serial junction between the second and third semiconductor switches S<SB>2</SB>and S<SB>3</SB>is connected as an output terminal to a load 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
