<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the unevenness of density of ink in an ink cartridge more properly. <P>SOLUTION: When a timer value T defined as the elapsed time since the ink cartridge 32 loaded in a printer body is a threshold Tref or more, a warning screen is displayed to reload the ink cartridge 32 after once removing it and sufficiently shaking it, and the timer value T is reset as zero when the ink cartridge 32 is reloaded. Thereby, it can be inhibited that the sedimentation of color material contained in the ink in the ink cartridge 32 advances too much.
