<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mounting strength of a side support member in a seat for a vehicle including an airbag device provided in a seat with a seated occupant thereon. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle seat 10 comprising an airbag device provided to the seat on which the occupant sits, wherein the vehicle seat is provided with a seatback frame 24, an airbag containing body 32 fixed to the seatback frame 24, and a guide plate 38 extended in the direction in which an airbag 36 which is installed within the airbag containing body 32 inflates and expands. The guide plate 38 has rigidity capable of withstanding an impact occurring when the airbag 36 inflates and expands. A synthetic resin side support member 42, on which each side support surface 42a for supporting the body of the seated occupant is formed, is provided to each guide plate 38 on the side thereof which faces the inner side of the seat on which the occupant sits.
